Sandra Balaban
Occupational Therapist
Sandra is a dedicated Occupational Therapist who has been working in paediatrics since the start of her career.
Sandra grew up in a big family and always enjoyed spending time and playing with her younger cousins and family members. This is where her spark and passion for working with children was ignited.
Sandra values collaboration, safety, and genuine connection, working alongside families to build skills, confidence, and meaningful participation in everyday life. She prioritises connection and rapport with each child and family that she supports, conducting therapy in a holistic and connection-focused way. She is passionate about understanding the why behind a child’s behaviour and creating supports that honour each child’s unique nervous system, strengths, and relationships.
Her approach is grounded in ongoing professional development, including completion of Traffic Jam in My Brain, Kim Barthel’s courses Attachment Matters, Becoming a Behavioural Detective, and Vestibular Visual Matters. She has also completed the Sleep with Disability course, enabling her to support families with sleep challenges in a compassionate and practical manner.
Outside of work, Sandra enjoys getting outdoors and socialising and connecting with her family and friends.
